FNPF further strengthens IT security system
The Fiji National Provident Fund has further strengthened its IT security system after attempts were made by some people to hack into their system last month.

FNPF Chief Executive Officer, Aisake Taito said their IT security system had detected the unsuccessful attempt adding that they have stringent measures and procedures in place to reduce the possibility of any such breaches.

He has assured members that no classified member or financial information was compromised during the failed attempt.

He added that as custodians of members' retirement savings and financial information, the Fund is fully aware of its duty to protect it from those who may wish to use this information for illegal purposes.

The matter has been referred to the police and an investigation is now underway.
