$5M sustained by FEA after TC Evan
$5 million worth of damage was sustained by the Fiji Electricity Authority from Tropical Cyclone Evan last year.

FEA Chief Executive Officer Hasmukh Patel confirmed that there were damage to the transmission and distribution overhead power network which cost them around $5 million for rebuilding and repairs.

Patel said that the FEA teams worked tirelessly out in the field for long hours and were able to achieve full restoration in the Central Division including Levuka, Northern and Western Division.
