Kahui to miss first super rugby match
Chiefs and All Blacks centre Richard Kahui will miss the start of the Super Rugby, having a minor procedure to complete his long rehabilitation from shoulder surgery.

Kahui, who has missed the last nine months of rugby, had an operation to effectively finish cleaning up the shoulder joint.

Meanwhile the Sharks have confirmed that following captain Keegan Daniel's injury, vice captain Franswa Steyn will step up as Shark captain until Daniel returns.

The Super Rugby season kicks off at 8.40pm this Friday with the Force taking on the Rebels.

The Brumbies will play the Reds at 8.40pm this Saturday.
