The 28 year old former journalist who allegedly murdered his 39 year old wife at their Ragg Avenue, Namadi Heights home early yesterday morning, is expected to appear in court later today.
Police Media Liaison Officer Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the husband is the suspect in the alleged murder and officers questioned him yesterday.
Police said there were stab wounds on the victim and a knife had been recovered from the crime scene.
It had been confirmed that the deceased was a business woman from the United Kingdom and moved into the house a few weeks ago with her husband and three children. They confirmed that the victim's three month old baby, 4 year old and 16 year old sons are now with their relatives.
Residents in the area told Fijivillage that they heard noises coming from the house at about 1am and the sound of bottles breaking. They said they then called the police.
Sokomuri said after conducting their interviews and questioning the suspect, they had managed to get details about the domestic dispute which resulted in the death of the 39 year old woman early yesterday morning.
Sokomuri confirmed that the three children are now staying with their relatives.
