As second term of school starts tomorrow, the fate of the Waiqele Secondary School Acting Principal is still not known as she was locked out by the management this morning.
Speaking to Fijivillage News, School Management President Durga Prasad said they do not want the Principal in the school and they have raised this issue with the Education Ministry.
Prasad said they have been liaising with the ministry on the removal of the Principal since 2005 however nothing has been done. He has assured that the students’ studies will not be affected by their actions.
The Interim Education Minister when contacted said that he is in the Western Division and is not aware of the incident.
Meanwhile, Media Liaison Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri said a team of police officers are at the school trying to keep the situation under control.
