People can expect heavy rain with flash flooding in the low lying areas as a tropical depression which is which is lying far north east of Fiji and is slowly moving West South West towards the group.
Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad has called on people living in low lying areas to take precaution as rainfall heavy at times is expected for the whole of Fiji later today which may cause flash flooding.
Prasad also advises mariners and fishermen to refrain from going out to sea as a strong wind warning is now in force for all Fiji waters. He said there are two other weather systems in Vanuatu and Samoa which are heading towards Fiji.
He said the depression will see heavy rain, strong wind and rough seas from today until next week.
