The Independent Legal Services Commission has ordered the closure of Gordon and Chaudhry law firm which was operated by Ronald Rajesh Gordon and Rajendra Chaudhry.
Legal Services Commissioner Justice Paul Madigan said the commission advises members of the public that the Chief Registrar has obtained orders from the commission restraining Gordon and Chaudhry from operating their law firm.
Their office is now closed down.
Rajendra Chaudhry has been suspended from practice as a legal practitioner in Fiji until 1st March 2017 after he was found guilty of one count of professional misconduct and one count of unsatisfactory professional conduct.
Meanwhile, three legal practitioners have been restrained from operating their law firms from late last week.
According to Commissioner Madigan, the Chief Registrar has obtained orders from the Commission restraining Ligabalavu Law, Muaror and Company and GP Lala and associates from operating.
The commission said the three were practicing law without current practicing certificates.
