The proposed Social Democratic Liberal Party or the new SDL believes that the Professor Yash Ghai draft constitution should be the one to be considered by the Constituent Assembly.
SDL spokesperson Dr Tupeni Baba said the constitution commission has put into consideration the voices of the people.
The government said the draft is being reviewed by the government legal team to ensure that proper democratic principles are included in the constitution to be considered by the assembly.
The Ghai draft had proposed for unelected bodies like the Great Council of Chiefs and a National People's Assembly which will be removed in the new draft.
Meanwhile Baba said the SDL is confident of getting 5,000 members and are looking forward to be part of the Constituent Assembly.
He added that SDL is fortunate to have experienced politicians from other parties like Mick Beddoes to help them in their campaign.
