Now or never for Fiji

Now or never for Fiji
Maybe it’s now or never for the Digicel Fiji 7s team as the team will give their all to finish on a high at the USA 7s tournament.

The players learnt a good lesson in New Zealand last week and the challenge will be if they can forget the disappointing performance and put up a good display of rugby this weekend.

History has seen Fiji bounce back after dismal performances.

The starting seven for the Fiji 7s team to face England today include Ulaiyasi Lawavou, Jone Vota, Manueli Laqai, Joji Raqamate, Ilai Tinai, Setefano Cakau and Samisoni Viriviri.

Meanwhile New Zealand have received a major blow with veteran Lote Raikabula forced out with injury.

Raikabula suffered an ankle strain during training yesterday.

He was captaining the side in the absence of the injured DJ Forbes. Tomasi Cama Junior now takes over the captaincy duties for this fifth round of the World Series.

Cama is the first Fijian to captain a New Zealand 7s side.

Looking at Fiji games at the USA sevens Fiji will play England at 12pm today. We then face Scotland at 3.19pm.

Fiji's last pool match is against Portugal at 8am tomorrow. The Cup quarters start at 1.52pm tomorrow.
