Investment Fiji has been awarded as the best exhibitor at the China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair hosted in China.
Fiji which was competing against Canada, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Africa, Kenya, Thailand, Mongolia, Australia and Vietnam displayed a wide range of forestry based products and have been awarded with the Best Exhibitor Certificate.
Investment Fiji's Chief Executive Officer, Ravuni Uluilakeba said that the recognition has come as a surprise, with a positive notion signifying that such award suggests that Fiji is well noticed at International platforms.
He said that though there are many challenges faced by the forestry sector in Fiji, the sector continues to contribute meaningfully to poverty eradication, job creation, rural development and economic value-adding activities in the country.
