Health Ministry signs new agreement
A new agreement signed today with the Health Ministry will see the Nursing School in Labasa using the Diploma Nursing course with other post basic and post graduate programs used by Fiji School of Nursing for the training of nurses at the Sangam Nursing School.

The Health Ministry today signed a three year Deed of Agreement with the Nurses, midwives and Nurse Practitioners Board and the TISI Sangam Nursing School in Labasa.

Health Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said that the agreement is effective from today for two years.

He said all the facilities at Labasa Hospital will be used as the primary clinical base for trainee Sangam nurses and the agreement also allows government to recruit Sangam trained nurses after they register with the Board.

Meanwhile, the TISI Official Sadasivan Naicker said the agreement means a lot to the School and the school will see that the nurses are trained to the best standards.
