With the current trend so far, the tourism industry is expected to have another record year.
This is according to Fiji Hoteliers Association President Dixon Seeto who said the industry did experience hiccups during the floods earlier this year however it bounced back with coordinated effort of the stakeholders.
Seeto said they had tried to attract more visitors from China and India and this is expected to gain momentum when Air Pacific gets its new fleet next year.
With budget announcement expected soon, Seeto said they met with the Finance Ministry and the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority last week and have given their submission for next year’s budget.
