The Vola ni Kawa Bula is meant to register all I-taukei into their respective land owning unit.
Chairman of the Native Land Commission Ratu Viliame Tagivetaua says if a child is born and the father is I-taukei and is entered in the VKB, than the child automatically registers to his father’s land owning unit.
This is regardless of the whether the mother is I-taukei or another race however if the child is born to an I-taukei woman and the father is not an I-taukei, then the child could not be registered because the father is not registered on the VKB.
