Alleged killer further remanded

The man who allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old woman to death in Verata, Tailevu, last month has been further remanded in custody by the Suva High Court.

Sailasa Mociu appeared before Justice Salesi Temo with one count of murder.

The State Counsel asked the court for more time to serve information and disclosures.

The case has now been adjourned to the 1st of March.

Mociu allegedly stabbed a mother of four to death on a small bridge in Naisaumua village in Tailevu and then pushed into the water.
