Buses expected to have E-ticketing machines installed

Buses expected to have E-ticketing machines installed
All bus companies in the central division are expected to have e-ticketing machines installed in their buses in two weeks.

Fijivillage questioned the Land Transport Authority on some buses not having the system installed while people have already purchased e-cards and are willing to use it.

Land Transport Authority CEO Naisa Tuinaceva said so far they are aware of two companies not having these machines and it is the responsibility of the bus companies to have them installed in their buses.

However, Tuinaceva said it will take time for adjustments to be made which is why they have given another two weeks for the central division while the other divisions should get the system installed by the end of next month.

Meanwhile, companies who do not adhere to this will be penalized.
