A former army officer who was involved in the 2000 coup has presented a wide range of issues in his submission to the Constitution Commission.
Josefa Savua presented that the President and Vice President should be elected by the people.
Savua proposed that the size of the military should be reduced and the population should be limited by controlling the number of immigrants.
He said education should be made compulsory from an early age to 25 years and a training system should be provided for young people to have good behavior.
Savua also said a system should be set up to look into the care of single mothers and their children and the elderly.
