Firefighters control Lautoka bush fire

Firefighters in Lautoka managed to control a bush fire in Tuvu, Lautoka, today which was threatening nearby properties in the area.
NFA CEO John O’Connor said careless burning of rubbish by some people pose a serious threat to nearby properties and lives.
He said they have recently come across an increase in grass and bush fires in the Western and Northern divisions.
O’Connor said uncontrolled burning has become a serious issue for NFA.
