Man arrested for alleged rape

Police have arrested and charged a 42 year old man of Nasinu for allegedly raping a 15 year old girl twice this year.

He was charged late yesterday and is expected to appear in the Nasinu Magistrates court tomorrow.

It is alleged that the man raped the victim at the beginning of this year and earlier this month.

Meanwhile, police are looking for thieves who broke into the Chicken express outlet in Nadi between Friday night and early yesterday morning.

Thieves gained entry into the shop after breaking the window glass and stole cash and two laptops to a total value of more than $5000.
