As the political turmoil continues in Australia to form the next government, the Greens Party believes that Australia can do much more in terms of economic relations with Fiji.
According to Radio Australia, the Labor Party has formed an alliance with the Greens in the hope to form the next government and Greens Leader Bob Brown said the next government must consider the fact that places like Fiji are now turning to China for assistance.
Brown said Australia can also do more to improve the lives of the ordinary people in Fiji and Timor Leste.
Meanwhile, the ABC said at this stage the Labour party has 74 seats and 73 to the Liberal coalition 76 members are needed to form government.
However, three independents who may have Liberal leanings are still undecided as to which party they will support.
