Zainal Haroon has been granted a $5,000 cash bail by Magistrate Chaitaniya Latchsman.
Haroon will appear in the High Court on the 15th of this month.
His application for name suppression has been rejected by Magistrate Latchsman.
He has also been told not to threaten or assault the complainant and not to interfere with the witnesses.
Fiji village has received confirmation that five cases of locally produced pornographic material are now being investigated by the Police Cyber Crimes Unit.
A major investigation started after the emergence of several pornographic materials involving locals on the internet.
Cyber Crimes Unit Officer In Charge, Seru Neiko said they are identifying the people and taking them in for questioning in relation to their roles in the production and distribution of such pornographic materials.
