If the H1N1 situation worsens, there is a high possibility that schools and workplaces will be forced to close.
Those are the sentiments of Health Ministry Spokesperson Iliesa Tora who said while those who have had contact with the confirmed cases are also tested, on a large scale it would be difficult to test everyone so the closing of locations may happen to prevent the rapid spread of the flu.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister said all schools in Fiji have been informed to keep updating their students on the Pandemic H1N1 influenza.
Filipe Bole added they are aware of the increasing number of people carrying the influenza and steps will be taken once they find situation worsening in schools.
For now, Bole said they are only advising students on preventative measures.
A total of 19 confirmed cases of H1N1 influenza have been reported so far.
