Hassan eyed to captain 5-a-side team

Lautoka soccer team striker Kamal Hassan has been eyed to captain the Five-a-side soccer team in the Oceania Futsal soccer championship.

Hassan is one of the most experienced players in futsal soccer and he also won the Golden Boot in last year's championship.

Fiji FA Futsal soccer official Jainen Sukhu said Mira Saheb capained the team last year and this year they have thought to give it to another player.

Sukhu says Hassan has the capability to be a good leader on and off the field but the final decision on the captan will be made on Sunday.

The Oceania Futsal Soccer Championship starts on Monday at the Vodafone Arena and Fiji's opening match will be against Vanuatu.
