Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama is now hoping that the political elements are taken out of the Methodist Church hierarchy so that the Church Conference is allowed to go ahead in 2010.
Bainimarama reveals that he has offered his support to the President of the Church, Reverend Ame Tugaue to take the political agenda out of the church.
He said this will definitely occur in due course.
Bainimarama had earlier asked the Methodist Church to remove politics and Reverends Manasa Lasaro and Tomasi Kanailagi from the church if they want to have the conference this year. But later stressed that the conference will not be held in 2009.
The Prime Minister also reveals that there will be no Methodist Conference next year if politics is not taken out of the church.
