Dovumatua’s fate depends on Tabua

The Coca Cola Light Games Blue Ribbon Winner, Iowana Dovumatua will only be called into the National 7s team training squad on the advice of National 15's Coach and National 7s Team's Technical Adviser, Ilivasi Tabua.

Fiji 7s Team Coach Joe Savou said Dovumatua is being eyed to replace injured Semisi Naevo in the training squad but they will be having a meeting tonight to decide what step is to be taken.

Savou said at the moment they will stick with the 14 players currently in camp, and from that they will select the best 12 for the London and Edinburgh 7s tournaments later this month.

The 7s players broke camp today after training at the Suva Grammar Ground, and return to camp tomorrow at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua.
