The Prime Minister who is also responsible for the Civil Service has revealed that immense change will occur over the next few years to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the public service.
Commodore Bainimarama reveals that costs have been reduced by 190 million dollars already and more measures are expected to follow.
Bainimarama also said the Fiji economy will definitely contract this year due to the global conditions and other factors.
However there is hope that the devaluation will bring in more income from the sugar and tourism industries.
