Torika Watters today relinquished her Miss World Fiji crown following a month of much controversy over her selection and not meeting the age requirement.
On speaking to Fijiviilage, Watters said she is glad that giving up the crown is a starting point of clearing up the controversy.
Meanwhile, pageant director Andy Blake said they are ready to move on following the controversy surrounding the pageant, with big plans for next year.
First runner up Koini Vakaloloma who replaces Watters will now compete on the 18th of next month for Fiji in the Miss World 2012 pageant in Mongolia.
